Caller: Telstra (Not!) Typical call center background noise. Caller identified himself as being from Telstra. I just laughed and said, "You're not from Telstra. You know that and so do I. Please don't call me again." He replied, "Alright." I hung up.

Caller: Scammer When I answered there was a delay and then a male connected. There was a lot of call centre noise in the background. He said he was from "The Security Department" calling about your card. Because there was no bank identified and no type of card identified I knew it was a scam and hung up.

This person called my son's phone. For some reason when they called, it caused the alarms on his phone to stop. The alarms relate to his diabetes. I am not sure why someone would wat to kill someone with their camming rubbish, however it would appear to be quite deliberate and if my son was to die, they should be jailed for multiple decades.

Nothing gets these scammers off the line faster than
"This call is being monitored by the Australian Federal Police."
Works EVERY time.
