Caller: People Saver Liz: received a call to advise me that I was a finalist in a competition from a survey I’d answered. I asked which survey, the guy said ‘the one you answered’ -sigh... ok let’s play.. He asked how I would like to be notified if I win, I said use the email address given on the survey. He asked me to state the email to verify and I refused, I simply told hi, to use the one on the survey. He then asked to verify if I lived at xxxx postcode x suburb - I haven’t lived there for over 7 years but I said yes. He then asked me to confirm I was the authorised electricity account holder - I asked the relevance of this in relation to a $500 Woolworths grocery card - apparently Woolworths use this to confirm the winner’s identity.. sure but let’s keep playing.... so I said no, I am neither the account holder nor authorised on the account. He asked for the account holder details which I said I couldn’t give him as that would be a breach of privacy without their explicit authority to do so. He got narky at this point and before hanging up said ‘well you’re not likely to win, are you!’ Damn... I really hoped I would win

Called back and surprise surprise number not in service. Just block it. Would love to know when our government is going to do something about these spam callers tagging on through computers unused and unconnected numbers. Appalling.

Caller: Stated People Saver Guy said they would over me better deal on my Electricity. I repeatedly asked where he was from but kept saying 'I will transfer you to someone who will explain. This guy knew my name, DOB & address. The 2nd guy launched into his speal but I had to insist that I must know who he is representing. Went on with "we will save you 27% off your electricity but I said "STOP" who do you represent? Eventually he told me he was from 'People Saver'. I stated that they were not my provider & I wasn't interested, IF I wanted to do anything about my electricity, I would BUT NOT KNOW. He hung up. This is disturbing 1) that he had so much information about me & 2) I am on DO NOT DISTURB register. I have blocked him & will phone my provider to complain

DO NOT ANSWER
Seem to be pretty sophisticated because I got a SPAM email yesterday for a Woolworths survey offering a $500 prize (which I deleted), and then today a call from this number (which I did not answer).
To underline this - My credit card details were stolen last week and $1,000 in charges run up. Also found and deleted two Trojan malwares from my laptop last night.
This chain of events is not a coincidence.

Caller: PeopleSaver Don't answer this call. It seems they also try to get you to say or repeat certain things which is a major red flag for identity theft (recording and using your voice). Similar to everyone else they say it is about your electricity bill, I have received dozens of calls which I didn't answer. Finally I answered to say 'remove me from your list' after being told he was from Peoplesaver, and they guy asked me to repeat 'who am i calling from', and became increasingly aggressive when I refused and told him he should know where he's calling from. Highly distburbing practice - warn your friends and family.

Caller: People Saver I'm so sick of this garbage.
How do I get them to stop calling me every bloody week?! Literally hundreds of calls. Dozens of times I've tried asking politely to be taken off their list. Several times I've told them my power is off-grid so they're wasting their time. All the other times I've just hung up or not answered. I've tried being polite. I've tried being patient. I've tried blocking & reporting their numbers... but they just keep calling from an endless supply of new numbers!
Who the hell are 'People Saver'? If they're operating on behalf of actual energy providers who are based in Australia, somebody's ass needs to get kicked. If they're just a bunch of scammers, doubly so.
PLEASE SOMEBODY MAKE IT STOP
I've had my mobile number for 16 years, I really don't want to change it...

Last week the calls from numbers beginning with "9188" were an energy comparison service, now they're giving me a heads up on the competition i never entered but MIGHT win??

Phone number is not listed or operational (disconnected) The sign that this is a scammer calling. phones multiple times a day but hangs up whenever I answer assumedly from my having sent them packing on a prior occasion. From reading the forum it is a electricity provider scam....they try to transfer you to another provider to attain a fee from their purported provider that will get you a better deal..... given the chance they will change that provider next week for another fee (round robin scam) DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION......DON"T VERIFY ANY DETAILS THEY MAY ALREADY HAVE.....BEWARE OF IDENTITY THEFT. BEWARE OF YOUR INFORMATION GETTING INTO THE WRONG HANDS TO YOUR DETRIMENT....DON'T TALK TO THEM (they can cut and paste the contents of your voice to create a purported sentence to affirm your agreement to whatever they like and to your detriment >>>>SIMPLY HANG UP. ….DO NOT ENGAGE.....who knows the phone call could be for the purpose of ascertaining whether or not you are at home with the intent of robbery
