Caller: Scam Caller Pretending to be from ABS

An arsehole claiming to be from ABS called Max called and when I said 'I don't wish to partici....' he let out a large sigh and hung up on me before I could finish my sentence.
I contacted ABS (Australian Beureau of Statistics) directly afterwards and they were surprised to hear that an outbound call from them would show up like a home telephone number. They are following up on the matter. SCAM CALL - do not engage.

Scam. Claiming to be Australian Bureau of Statistics and wanting me to participate in a survey. When I said I’d never known the ABS to cold call they hung up. Beware!

Caller: Scam

Scam text received claiming to be from "A.N.Z" (literally with those dots) saying your voice ID has been activated and to call this number. I don't even bank A.N.Z or ANZ

Caller: NAB (SCAM)

I received the following text message
"Your Secure Code has been successfully updated. If you did not request this, Please call us IMMEDIATELY (02) 9136 2479"

Caller: Says ABS , 10 second survey

Started to ask how many people in household. Hung up after saying I did not wish to participate

Said was calling from ABS - when I said I was at work and to call back another time, became aggressive and frustrated. I found this suspicious and googled number, my suspicions were justified in light of other comments on this page.

Dont give info!!!! I asked where did you get my number and they said Australian Database then I asked where are you calling from and hung up on me!!!!! I tried to ring the number back and got a beeping engaged like tone. Sounds like a SCAM be careful.

Called me and voicemail was left. It sounded like an office. Didnt bother calling back.

this number pretended to be ABS with population questions, when I questioned her more as I didn't know who she was she abruptly hung up!

Call on 2 July 2021 12:08pm - no message left

Call on 19 July 2021 12:29pm - once again no message left.

I do not answer calls which are not in my contacts. If they are genuine they will leave a message

Received a call from this number. Didn't answer and no message was left. Suspect SCAM caller.

Caller: Female ‘Annie’ claiming to be from Australian Bureau-of Statistics

Caller hung up after me asking - are you sure you’re from ABS?

Caller: didnt answer

called back it is invalid number. It must be scam calls.

Rang, did not answer. No message was left

Someone called saying they were from ABS doing a survey. When I said I am not interested she said whatever and hung up on me. Likely a scam call.
