When scammers call...try to answer in a different accent. I tried this as an Indian IT student....worked a treat.
Told them I was Indian IT Student in Mumbai...they have wrong number, but do you want to order a take away?

This did work...also tried the 'Do Not Call Register"....don't bother anything introduced by an Australian Govt doesn't work...you know that!
My scam calls have dropped from 8 per day to 1.

rang 1800 number and told "Ryan" that if his company rang again, i would come to his address and break his f#$%ing neck;the weak bludger said he understood and would not ring again.

Thank you to everyone who posts these comments. I receive multiple phone calls daily and find they are rude, smart arse people who take joy in letting you know they know your name and various details as soon as they've called you. Between the harassers selling solar/electricity plans to me and this sort of marketing call - if you are not in my contact list in my phone I do not answer the call.

Call ID said from Sydney, NSW. Answered phone - no response. No doubt sales call. I'm on the Do Not Call Register but still constantly get nuisance calls.
