every day this number rings and hangs up

It's the NSW Rural Fire Service - they're doing fund-raising calls. I've had eight missed calls from that number this week!

Every day this number calls I now have it saved under "do not pick up"

People....They may say they are from the Rural Fire Service, but they are a marketing company who act on behalf of charities. They take a cut of the money received, therefore they themselves are not a charity. They are a commercial organisation.

Therefore, in my opinion, they shouldn't be calling anyone on the DO NOT CALL register as they are calling me to make money for themselves first and foremost.

The DO NOT CALL register should allow you to block all unsolicited calls from any type of organisation. I won't be donating or answering surveys so it's a huge waste of everyone's time.

They are collecting for Israel Jews.

Yep - it's the RFS. They're state government (ie taxpayer) funded - why harass people who have already paid they're taxes.? Giving a good service a bad name boys and girls...

i run a business and to interupt a customer to answer a dead call is just bad manners on their part

Recieved a call that immeadiately after answering.

This number is formally owned by 'Contact Centers Australia' (CCA) and is acting on the behalf of NSW Rural Fire Services Aust. (NSWRFSA)

When you ring this number a voice message referres you to CCA on 1300 886 067 where I was ansered by a receptionist who took my name and number after I requested that I do not be contacted again.

While this incident appears to be handled correctly I am still marking this as spam as I have had string of incidence that have not been handled correctly by NSWRFSA in the past.

MP's are responsible for a "lame duck" DNCR. No organisation, charitable or otherwise, should be granted an exemption.

If they are fundraising? why do they hang up?

Rural Fire Service you do a good Job but don't stoop to these low tactics to get money as it just annoys people like us

I have told RFS I will not be buying raffle tickets etc or giving details over phone and not to call me again..They just ignore this. I have put them on "blocked Number".

Its the rural fire service association, RFSA.

I used to receive a call now and again from the Rural Fire service and was happy to support them. Now they are undertaking this form of fund raising they will not be receiving another cent from me. Leave my telephone numbers alone. It is creepy when I answer a call and they hang up!

I have a private number and I am on the do not call list, so how is it these charities are always calling me.

It's like if you donate to one of them, your number is sold off to the charity black market and then you are hassled for life!!
