We get calls every day from this number. It's the NSW Rural Fire Service selling raffle tickets. Our mistake was buying tickets the first time, now we have no peace at all. Very annoying.

Just to clarify from the last post, this is indeed the NSW RFS and they do sell raffle tickets over the phone as stated on their website:

"The NSW Rural Fire Service Association (RFSA), an independent and separate organisation which represents our volunteers and staff, does sell raffle tickets over the telephone as a fundraising initiative. These raffles are conducted through a telemarketing company and comply with the requirements of the NSW Department of Gaming and Racing. The operators are required to establish their bona fides and offer a return call number. The Association may also send out pledge letters but does not solicit donations."

They claim to be RFS, but if you go to their site it states the RFS .... NEVER asks for donations or sells raffle tickets by phone.... So this is some unknown business collecting money for their own pockets.... There is no prises for you to win!

Charities and political organisations are excluded from DNCR requirements.

rings, I answer with the business name and they hang up. Thanks for the comments above, I will have this and the other numbers that I believe are associated blocked by my phone provider.

100% SCAM. Looks like an Aussie phone number calling, but it's really an internet call from india.

Answered the phone to this number at work, and they just hung up with out saying anything!

Got me off side when he started the call as our Boys do great work i then asked if he was a member and he said not he was unable to disclose the amount his marketing company made from the donations.

They always start with "Could I speak with Dianne please?" I told them I've had a dozen calls for this lady and I keep telling them there is NO Dianne for this number, and it is a BUSINESS. Asked them to please take our number off their calling list. WHY do they keep calling?!

they're still calling. when you dial the number you get an automated answering machine. same scam, RFSA.

They do invaluable work but in this regard they're an absolute menace.

Calls everyday at the same time. u can set your clock to the call. never leaves a message.

This number has called my home phone several times but caller id is a blessing as I just upgraded my home phone plan to include this & now I just don't pick up any number that I don't know.If it's friends or family or someone with nothing to hide , they'll leave a message :)

This number has been calling every day for 2 weeks while we are at work and never leaves any message. We have a private line & we are on the do not call register???

This number called my work phone. When I answered the phone I heard a guy who sounded like he was having a conversation with someone next to him. When I repeated, "hello David speaking" they just hung up. So rude!

They call 1-2 times a week. When you pick up they hang up. When you don't pick up, they don't leave a message. It's very spooky.

They were a call I missed today. I didn't recognise the number so that's why I've checked it out on this site. But if it's NSWRFS I'm OK with that. I've got a lot of time for our firefighters and often buy their raffle tickets. They have great prizes - not that I've ever won one.

I've had calls from the RFS before asking me to buy raffle tickets. I tell them I'll donate online instead. They kept calling so I blocked the number and then they just seem to call back on other numbers a few months later. Looks like I'll be adding this one to the 'blocked' list....

Got a call from this number. Man said his name was Joe from RFS. Told him I only donate sperm and then hung up. Really annoying as I'm on the DNC register.
