I missed the call. They left a message saying I was accused of tax fraud and they were about to issue a warrant for my arrest. Interesting they did leave a contact name, company name, mention my name. They just said to call and not ignore the message. I just deleted it. I knew it was a scam.

I had an anonymous voice message stating that 'This is a legal complaint regarding Tax Avoidance and will be going to the local district court'. 'Do Not Ignore This Call'!!! (02) 9099 1740……
Many people told me it's a SCAM!!!!

Called today stating I was a tax grander and I would be summonsed to court if I did not pay -
I rang our accountant and he told me it was a scam!!

Just got a phone from this number, some guy with an accent, claimed to be from the 'Australian Tax Office'. Said that the ATO have a complaint under my name that I'm invading taxes etc

ATO Tax Scam. Called leaving a message that there had been a tax complaint against me, and that I had to call them back before the local magistrate got involved and a warrant was issued. I reported it to scam watch.

Do not answer! Scam.
Said warrant will be issued for tax fraud. Then proceeded to say 'Do you love me? , do you love me?'.
Disgusting people.

Called my number from unlisted number left a message to say tax avoidance under my name but didn't actually say my name then threatening warrant and immediate arrest and I should call (02) 9099 1740 immediately and not ignore this warning. SCAM

I no longer answer any calls from numbers i do not recognise, and continue to block them - although they just use different numbers!! I have been a victim and lost some money on one of these scams, have reported to the police and to the ATO but there is little they can do as most of these unpleasant people are off-shore!

They tried to call my mobile and left the message:
"This call is just to inform you that we received a legal complaint under your name. Thank complaint is for tax avoidance and tax fraud issue under your name."

I got a call from the same number as Jacob Sydney's 9099 1740. i called them back and they hung up. the number is no longer contactable by me. i was hoping to string them along for a little while which would mean they couldn't scam anyone else in that time. oxygen thieves!!!

Just got the same robot call - totally threatening and annoying. Private number. Scam phone call.

Tax avoidance complaint scam.

Just got a call and I knew it was a scam, so I called back and it was a male with the accent of Indian origin. I asked for his full name (Gary Smith) and repeated it back with a follow-up question: "of the ATO located in Victoria or NSW? He said Victoria, I mentioned the number he is listed on is a NSW based number. I told him I work for the ATO and I'm searching for his employee record and cannot find anyone by the name of Gary Smith). he then said "just put down the phone motherf*****" and hung up.

Called work scamming for money under guise of ATO tax owed. Idiots.

The same thing, guy pretends to be an ATO representative, has a strong Indian or Pakistani accent.

Yep, same. Got a call from (02) 9099 1740 and a voicemail saying non payment/arrest/warrant etc. Out of interest I called the number back from a land line and it can't be connected.

Just got this call today too saying that someone has made a legal complaint against my name and they will be taking legal action if I don't call back. First off, my name was not even addressed. Disregard this call and this number.

Male, possibly Indian decent(?), suggesting tax fraud & not to ignore the message! Because I KNOW I have no tax fraud, & it felt wrong, I will not be buying into this !! If it sounds dodgy, look up the number. I suggest absolutely ignoring this number!!

Received a voice mail from these ass hats - saying they are about to lodge an arrest warrant for my name (which he did not even know) for tax evasion - Lol scammers need to try harder
