Asked me whether I had a Criminal Lawyer as I owed the ATO $998.00 for overdue tax debt. They asked me for my credit card details so I hung up!

Received numerous calls from this number which I have ignored and not answered. Today they left me a message to call back and not to ignore this message. Of course I have not called back and looked it up here. Thanks everyone for exposing this scam.

Yep, pretty much as described above. Message left claiming to be very important and to not disregard this message. I haven't even bothered to call back based on the info above.

Scam. left a message in my voice mail. Doesn't even speak English. What a joke.

ATO TAX Scammers.. asking for TFN

Pathetic amateurs. We used fake names and they still "found" us on their system and "found" our tax records showing a debt of $2,984. We offered to settle asap but they insisted that they want to send somebody to our home to sign papers, also asked if we were at work, so it could be more sinister than a credit card/ TFN scam.

We reported them to the ATO, be careful.

THEY CALLED OUR OFFICE SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT FRAUD? i panicked then searched the number and saw all the scam calls from this number posted here. GOOD TO KNOW!

Got a call from this number this morning, it was an Indian Speaking person saying this is a pre recorded message and told me to call the ATO on another number regarding tax evasion and it was important to call immediately...

Dodgy message left about some overdue tax amount.

Heard an automated message 'Call us back on (02) 9099 1678 - do not disregard this message, call us back, it is important.' (male Indian accent.)

Left message - difficult to understand- would have guessed Indian accent - said firmly to call back and not disregard.

Returned call (knowing it a scam) it was answered "Tax and Crime Division". Asked the man with Indian accent "Tax and Crime Division of where" reply was "Japan" and then asked me to say "Tokyo" several times then hung up. Bottom feeders.

Scam - Indian pre-recorded voice claiming to be from the ATO and advising that I was being investigated.

Received voicemail from a person with heavy accent, doesn't say where they are from and it about regarding tax evasion and fraud. Asked for the person or their lawyer to call back. Scam Block number
