Said they were from Amazon and my account would be cancelled. Scam. I dont have an Amazon account. How stupid are they

Called, I answered, they hung up.
Number now blocked.

Got a call from this number saying money is coming out of my account for my amazon prime renewal, I DO NOT have ANY account with amazon so pressed the numbers to speak to a person - they hung up so this is a scam if they call from (02) 9071 2886 saying they are from Amazon

Fastly before the cool connect to foreign language to speak spoken. When I just kept on saying hello I said they were from the security department of visa and MasterCard. I questioned what banks security area where they from and they promptly hung up on me

This number has called every 2nd day at least twice a day. I did answer it a few weeks ago and they were claiming they were from the NBN in which I hung up. So frustrating getting these calls

Just hung up when I answered, probably wanted to use my number to scam others

It seems that whoever is using this number needs to be smarter with hiding/cloning the number they are trying to spam people from.

I didn't answer the call, as I didn't recognise the number, and they didn't leave a message. So I checked here.

Answered and they didn't say anything but I could hear people (with Indian accents) in the background scamming other people about problems with their internet so hung up and blocked

Automate computer-generated voice message " Hi your Amazon Prime account has been renewed blah, blah blah and in the end, if you have not authorised press "1" I just hung up, pls do not respond

India accented female told me about my internet fault, I said her call was being traced, she then hung up !!!! Definately a big scamming operation.

Said they were calling from Telstra internet and there were reports of errors from my IP address.
Very noisy background, thick Indian accent. Very hard to understand.
I said I wasn’t with Telstra. He says that Telstra provide internet blah blah.
I said that if I did have problems I would report them with my own ISP who would lodge a support ticket with Telstra and not trust a random person calling from an offshore call centre.
🤷‍♀️ Oh darn he hung up on me.
