Pretended to be from Commonwealth bank saying there was a fraudulent charge on my Visa. Was then "directed" to the visa department where it was pretty clear it was a scam centre.

Edit, ignore my last message, this isn't the number. I made a typo in the number. Can't comment on this number sorry.

See other people comments instead, they probably more correct.

Caller: Telstra (Scam Call)

Had a call from this number and was advised that my telstra internet had been comprimised. I do not have Telstra internet. But I asked which account they were referring to as I have multiple accounts. She couldn't tell me. I said I was at work. She said she would call back. I said give me a number, and I will call back when I get home - got hung up on. Avoid!!!

A computer generated voice was on the line and said something about ‘a missed package,’ though I found it odd that the Australian Embassy was mentioned. No mention of why this was happening or any response (I wasn’t instructed to do anything though of course I’m not going to fall for that but it just seems unusual for a scam). Voice was in both English and Mandarin.

Computer generated voice claiming to be from visa or mastercard saying that I had received a $900 charge and if I believed it to be false then press ...... I hung up at this point as they obviously wanted me to dial a number to go through to their scammers line!!

Purposely avoided answering as the number looked suspicious. No voice message left.

Got a call from this number today but given the scam calls aren't going away I don't answer if I don't recognize the number. Also if they fail to leave a message the numbers get blocked.

Caller: 100% a scammer

The callers claimed to be from amazon and I played a long for a little bit. They claimed they were going to charge me for an amazon subscription unless I cancelled it. I asked them how I can cancel it and the asked me to download a software "ultraviewer" to facilitate the cancelation.

This software would have allowed them to have access to my computer, and absolutely would never be required to cancel a subscription of any kind.

DO NOT LISTEN TO THEM (also, I never had an amazon subscription in the first place)

Amazon prime subscription for $99 will be debited from my account. I don’t have an Amazon Prime account.
