I also got the same call from this number. Not sure who it was from but when I called it back the message was a US message, "...are busy, please call later." then an engaged dial tone.

2nd time today.

More than annoying!

Got a call from this number twice. Did not answer. Rang back and was told by an American style voice that number is not in service.

scam.....

Number is a scam. Asks you to call back (in American accent) under threat of being taken to court. When you do it redirects and person answers in American accent purporting to be the Australian Tax Office, which it is not. Have reported them to the real ATO.

Odd one all-together.
A mystery synthesised voice rattled on about county court, tax and stopped.
I returned the call. Some foreign voice pretended to be the ATO. So I asked who he was and where.
Still tried to get my TFN..!.
I said I would go to tax office to address this mystery issue...
I asked why they had called me, and should know why.
Asked for the persons details... He skimmed over a name, and nothing else... All of which made little sense, especially as the auto voice really didn't pertain to Australia, and it's system....
Line dropped!!!.
Watch out for this scam, it should be reported to police. I've had Telstra block it altogether.

Caller from this number asks you to call back re TAX DEPT/ Legal action, if you owe the tax office they will call you, call is auto dial and is very annoying four times a day. Possibly from USA as the 0 is omitted from the to call number.
