When is the Federal Government going to allow us to properly protect ourselves from receiving unwarranted and unwanted calls. The Do Not Call Register DOES NOT WORK!!!

first time for this number. Said they were ARS insurance. Have never heard of them. He asked to do a survey re insurance. I said not interested and hung up as he started his spiel. No time for them.

love the "block this caller " ability on my phone but I hate constantly getting these calls.

Just block this number - nothing more than telemarketers wanting to sell insurance.
They will call and call and call ad nauseum, not leave a message, and then call and call some more.
They are generally quite rude if you do answer, refusing somewhat impolitely to answer any questions and just push on with the script.
I'm sorry, but if I want your product this is not the way to entice me to buy.

yeah i cop it from these morons as well!!! so far i have been called from 5 different numbers this week 2 in Melbourne 2 in Sydney and 1 in Qld and its only Tuesday ....wonder where tomorrows call will come from ?? anyway don't believe the crap they come out with.... they take offence to being told that there number is being tracked and then they get offended when you ask if they have life insurance especially when you tell them thet will need it if they call again.... usually there number changes... again...all i can say is get as many details as you can about there company and asic registrarion number and take it to the police your local and state members your news papers or even your solicitors as these prick are wasting your time passing your number around harassing you and ripping unsuspecting people off.....on a happier note check your super you might already be paying for sickness,injury, disability and death they are common offerings when you sign up for it....

keeps calling day after day, answer the phone and no one is on the other end

Got a call saying it was CMS- said I didn't have time (genuine actually) and he kept going, I said "please I really don't have time" and went to continue and got hung up on. RUDE. Have now blocked them.

I get 5 calls a day from this number and another similar number! Both ask for my personal details, block these f**king numbers the minute you get the call!

sick of these companies contacting me. I'm on the do not call registry. I expect that to be upheld. I just rid the guy if they don't stop ringing I'll be giving there number too the telephone on l ombudsmen as they are breaking the law.

You're right - these buggers just don't give up! Even after you tell them to stop ringing you, they ring you using a different number. With sales tactics being used like this, I'll never do another survey again.

Got a call from this number today saying they are from CMS selling life insurance. Said they got my number from Australia on Disk which appears to be an illegal database sent out

I recieved a call from this number today. Apparently something like "CMS" regarding a survey. I just clicked "add to screen list" which is even an option on my little basic nokia workphone. I get them repeatedly from various numbers. My home phone has been removed due to this crap.

If internet providers can block websites why can't phone companies block these numbers?
