I received 11 missed calls from this number following a complaint I lodged with Optus to cancel my contract, apparently it's an Optus hotline number and I only get a recorded message from Optus when I try to call it back.

just checked here to see who it might have been - 2 calls in 2 minutes. I recently enquired about cancelling my plan!!

Received welcome automated calls confirming an Optus technicians appointment.

This is definately optus, but I think it is a default number, because I answered it and it was a really helpful consultant helping me with an enquiry I had made earlier, and she took it on her own back to find a better plan and switch it over, and she was calling me back to tell me.

Just got a call from this number and googled here. Young lady said i had called to make a query/complaint re my computer about Optus service and immediately initiated convo to get my full details?? so Ass/u/me??!! im not with 'Opt-anything' I said 1) never called with query about my computer/service 2) On Do not call register and she hung up.. OK.

I just got two calls from this number.
Optus is not only annoying, but also persistant.
I only use my moblie phone for SMS.

Love how they don't speak when you answer and then when you ring them back you're on their recorded message getting charged. Taking all four of our family off Optus and moving to another provider.

Missed the call but thought it was probably Optus as I had spoken to someone day before with a query. Thanks for confirming.

I just had 3 calls from this number in less than 4 minutes.. each time I rejected the call, they called straight back again. Next time they call i'm going to abuse them.. they should get the hint.

It is Optus. I got so frustrated with customer service that I hung up in disgust (right after asking for a supervisor... LOL), that number called me 10 seconds later, and has called a further 3 times in the past 15 mins...So it's not a scam, probably just the exit number for their internal phone system to call Australian phones, which means that many parts of Optus, and their outsourced call centres, will appear to be calling from that #

This number rang me today...Phone only rang once then they hung up..Didnt bother ringing back just googled it....Have been receiving numerous phone calls from (02) 8114 3800 over the last few wks.....Knew it was Optus as I had googled the number cus they kept ringing and I dont answer numbers I dont know!....But I finally answered last week, they asked for me, but I told them they had the wrong number, and now strangely enough they are calling from another number!...?????....Whats the go?

Hi... I recieved a call from this number about 20 minutes ago. I have recently emailed optus about my current bill and why I haven't recieved it... Makes sense that this number is calling me for a customer care survey to see how they handled my query... I think the whole "Scam" Idea is a load of ... and I also think the whole optus giving your details out is a load of ... also. Somke people just love to gossip and make stuff up!

It's Optus Business calling customers to try and sell them stuff on their existing account. Ignore it, no point in answering it unless you want something.

My mobile phone rang on 26 Oct 09 at 16:59 in Qld time! Did not recognise the number so did not answer, did not ring long enough either. The same number rang my mobile again next morning at 09:09 while left switched off, no message. Well I thought about a number of possibilities, then turned to computer and did an internet search...then this err issue. Well, it is not as bad as not showing the number I guess...
