dlook.com.au

they call and "update" your free listing details then will try to sell you their premium listing package.

basically, the premium package consists of a profile page on dlook.com.au which advertises your business online and lets customers access your contact details, website etc.

DLook is an online business listing that offer premium services for Search Engine Optimization (SEO). They garuantee they will get your business on the first 3 _pages_ of Google within 6 weeks if you have a premium listing. They also say you will be in 3 other major search engines, but I don't recall what sort of ranking is offered for those. (Everyone uses Google anyway?)

They spin a story that the premium listing is on special and you are a selected business that can have it for about 1/2 price. its about $40/month on special, it is normally $60/month. Of course, if you dont want it, the next business on the list becomes the specially selected one for the great offer *rolls eyes*

I ended up getting 3 months for $124.50 because I am interested to see how well they improve my Google ranking in that time frame. I'm thinking they can't do all that much, although you never know. The best bit was that I was at my PC when they called, and at the start he asked what keywords would my business fall under. when I told him I punched them into Google and my website was ranked as the 3rd result on the first page. I can't see them getting my rank up more than that, maybe I can get to #1?

All in all, if you are a lazy person technology wise their services are probably worth the money, but they don't do anything you can't do for free in 6 months.

I should add that they spit out some figures about Google and the searches done on the keywords you give them and they are probably a load of bull.

I punched the keywords into Google's keyword tool on-the-fly as I talked to him and Google showed me search numbers for those keywords. It was NOTHING near what he was saying. He was out by a factor of 10 roughly.

Keyword Tool told me about 1800 (monthly, local - ie within my country) hits for the key words and he was saying about 18000.

I think they can work on their figures and their presentation of them. They dont really let you talk much.
