Very dodgey call from this number needing personal info (02) 9008 1136 for personal injury ??? More scammers

Just had a call from this number... I called back an got put on hold... American accent and the person said an "agent" would be with me shortly. Eventually the phone just disconnected. No idea who it was, but definitely some sort of scam

Had a call from this number, on my mobile mind you, not sure how they got my mobile, as I don't give it out. I'm with Vodafone so guessing, this company calling has brought a database from somewhere. No message left on my mobile either. So I called back to find out who it was, it went straight to a recording saying "all our operators are busy on other calls, your call is important to us, we will be with you shortly please hold" after a little while I got another message saying "the operator on extension your are trying to reach is unavailable, at the tone please leave a message and we will get back to you" NOT IMPRESSED!!

This is one of many interstate numbers calling my work mobile on work days. As soon as I see the call is from a number I don't recognise I let it go. They never leave a message.

I have blocked at least 4 numbers from this 24/7 crap and they still keep coming
Today was some guy first was like a yelling scuffling sound then he talked normal told him to piss off not interested if I get one more call the next person will get a ear full! One very angry Muma

I ve had multiple calls from area codes 07, 08 and 02 - all from 24/7 so I block them via my block caller option

(02) 9008 1136 this number keeps calling me, I pick it up, they say nothing for 1 or 2 seconds then hang up......had this happen many times a week...pissing me off

Do what I do, add a name to all your contacts and when the call comes it says their name. Any other call just dont answer. They get tired and stop calling.

They call me at least 3 times a day. Can't someone trace them and do something ?

I have just received a call from (02) 9008 1136. I don't have any clue who they are since they disconnected as soon as I answered the call.

Got a call from 'Luke' at 24/7 saying he was representing Virgin Money. When I politely asked why I am being called when I have made no enquiry for this product he hung up. I found this site and all the comments. I rang the company in North Ryde a few people have mentioned, but the operator said it's not them as they are an Internet company and they are looking to take legal action against the telemarketing company using the same name. The operator Emma went to look for a phone number of the apparent Director of the 24/7 telemarketers but I was on hold for over 5 minutes so hung up. I'm not totally convinced it wasn't a scam. I've now registered with the government's do not call register

just got a call from (02) 9008 1136. the voice quality was bad, like year-2000-overseas-calling-phone-card bad. and I heard other people in the background, so there are a few of them. they know my name. said the call was recorded, they're from 24/7 about some insurance. I just said I'm not interested and hung up.

Just had a call from this number and as I had the phone right next to me answered it straight away and they immediately hung. How rude. Next time I will do the same.

This number has called me 27 times in the last three days. My husband answered the phone last night and told them we are not interested plus that im in hospital just given birth to first child and guess what another 3 calls before 10 am this morning

Just had a call on my private mobile forms guy from this number who said he was from 24/7 and asked had I heard of insurance line. He said he just wants to ask me a few questions. When I said no, I didn't give personal info over the phone and I wasn't interested insurance he became very rude and insistent. His voice sounded like when they digitally disguise voices on TV interviews so you can't tell who it is. He said something like "so if I said we had a Ferrari here to give you, you'd still say no" and I said thats right, I'm not interested and he was rude and hung up. These people sh*t me as I was at work and very busy. I reckon they got my number from that website where you compare car insurance as I was on that a few weeks ago, and you can't get the insurance quotes without entering your mobile number. Since then I have had calls for funeral insurance, car insurance and other type of insurance. That Do Not Call register is a complete waste of time too.

Scammers definitely. Why a phone company gives there idiots a number is beyond my comprehension.

Neat trick this number is one of several from 24/7,(02) 9037 2804 is the other number) I contacted the suggested number 1300 123 247 who denied any knowledge of 24/7. manager claims she is in the process of legal action to 24/7 for wrongful and deceptive practices. Just as she was about to provide me with another number the call was disconnected.. Like I said neat trick.

24/7 is doing calls to mobile phones. They have my name, so somewhere they have bought a database with mobile numbers and their owners details. Very unethical and as a result have complained to the minister for telecomunications. This practice is unethical and very close to being illegal. They are engaged by a variety of businesses wishing to promote their products ranging from charities to final cost insurance. BEWARE.
