Ex Optus Customer

I changed over to TPG as both Telstra (or Helstra as I prefer to call them & also Optus (or Hoptus = Hope-tus) was robbing me the exact same way that you state TPG is. Have found TPG easy to contact, call centre people are nothing but extremely helpful & have at least IT knowledge. Teltra & Optus my experiences were all a complete joke, I was teaching the technical support.

Just writing to let anyone considering signing up with TPG know that due to the incompetence and arrogance of Ali, their shocking customer representative, tpg has just lost a customer. This woman has put me on hold for half an hour while I requested to speak to the manager, was checking up on me every 10 minutes or so, only to hang up on me at the end. I am utterly disgusted with TPG customer service and have no intention to sing up with them any more at all. What a waste of time! Good bye TPG. Get lost!

Rob - TPG are scammers

My elderly pensioner parents were without internet for 3 months. During this tine TPG blamed Telstra lines but the Telstra rep came out twice and conducted checks on their end and said everything was OK. TPG kept taking money every month and not oroviding a service. One day I went to my parents place and rang TPG to find out WTF was going on. Im a computer techy and I could clearly see it was an ISP issue. After my call miraculously within 20 minutes my parents internet was back on. SCAMMERS!!! Do not use this company. You waive your right CSG customer service guarantee when you sign up and they dont have to provide you any service help at all or have any urgency in sorting out your problem because you waived your right to make a complaint and claim for any compensation at sign up. Be careful - read the terms of agreement/ service. What dodgey company would put in this waiver unless they knew themselves that their service was dodgey.

TPG Internet Provider

TPG Call Centre trying to get me to re-sign up to another internet provider contract.
WARNING: Read the T &C's. TPG wants customers to waive their right to the Customer Service Guarantee (CSG) which means if your service received by them is not up to spec, is faulty or poor and it takes them weeks or months to respond or repair the fault, they dont have to pay you any compensation whatsoever. Thats like waiving your right to claim under the warranty of your new car if the car is a lemon, or waiving your right to complain to your insurance because its taking too long to repair your damaged car/ home.

Well "John Werribee" they must have sacked the staff that dealt with you as they have been total mongrels to me. Refused to allow me to change my surname back to my Australian born maiden name. Then when I cancelled the account they refused to cancel the month to month contract because they refused to recognise my maiden surname despite taking payments from my account in my maiden surname. And refuse to releade my landline to another carrier. After I complained to Telecommunications Industry Ombudsman they refuse to contact me via email where there is a record. Instead they keep calling me on the voice line from (02) 9007 3023.

Most of the problems with disconnections and dropouts are caused by the old rotten corroded Telstra lines in the junction boxes. I have seen them. Some are hanging on by a thread. All providers except Optus use the Telstra underground lines. When i had a problem the operator in the Philippines said the signal was good.I had to convince him that the problem was out in the street, which it was. Now how can i convince someone 8000klm away that there is a problem 50m from my house ? I don't know what test equipment they use????

TPG rang me asking to send them an email to confirm our email with them is disconnected
STUPIDITY, I asked her to listen to herself!
I told her I don't have email and I won't email her
they rang at least 3 times, until I finally emailed them from someone else's address to leave me alone
We were with them for 2 years, not happy with service, would not reconnect again

TPG has been calling me for a week and a half, every single day with the same question: "has the technician that we're organizing called you yet?".
If I don't respond in 24 hours then they assume that the fault has been fixed and they start charging me for internet I don't have. Bunch of c**ts.

Disconnected my service by accident. When I called they said they will send someone out in two weeks to re connect it. What a joke. In the middle of changing providers.
