I am pretty sure these guys are a charity, something like Careflight etc. I have had calls from 2 numbers over the last few days. Even if you are on the DNC list, if they are a charity, which careflight are, they are allowed to call you, unless you ask them specifically to remove you.Rather than screening and ignoring, answer it, and ask them to remove you. Exempt organisations for the DNC register include: charities or charitable institutions educational institutions religious organisations government bodies registered political parties independent members of parliament political candidates.

missed the call, called it back and got a message saying "youve been called by a hosted contact service, you may be contacted in the future"

have had a few calls a day from this number the last few weeks. must be close to 100 times now. rather annoying i must say. answered twice and got hung up on both times. called the number today (curiosity killed the cat)and got this message'You have been contacted by a hosted contact centre service. You may be called again in the future. Thankyou. Goodbye.'hmm very helpful.. anyone know how to stop the calls?

Getting annoying

The caller was annoying in the extreme - sounded like a spruiker outside a $2 shop and thought he was a comedian.  It was offensive that he asked me how was the weather in ..... (where I live) and alluded to other personal information. It took him 7.5 minutes to get around to the fact that he wanted me to sponsor a fairy penguin.This no. has regularly called between 12 and 2 for the past few weeks and this is the first time I've answered.We have our name on the "do not call" list also.

is everyone here from Australia? i get calls from this number sometimes twice a day. i have a screening policy - if the caller is not in my phonebook and doesnt leave a message i will not talk to them.
