One of those calls where you answer, hear voices in the background, and wait for someone to come on the line. It turned out to be a company peddling NBN services.

Calling to speak business owner about NBN in our area. Told them owner not available. Asked what company they work for, and the quickly blurted out a business name (couldn't understand it). They said it was very important, to which I replied it must be as I have been getting these calls for over 6 months, and they are about the 8th different company that claims they are in charge of it. He quickly hung up..... lol

Caller: Scammer Had a guy who called himself David (with an overseas accent and addressed me as Ma'am) was very slow to start with and asked if I was the current owner. I politely said no and before I could ask owner of what? he kept saying Oh, no issues, no issues and hung up.

Telephone scam. A guy named Steve Morris kept saying that there will be NBN replacing the copper line in our area. They will look after us and blahblah. So when I asked for the purpose of the phone call, he could not give a straight answer. Scam.

Caller: NBN scammers Call office landline regarding the NBN. It was clear that it was a sales call because the lady said "can I speak to the boss of highest representative of the company present in the office at this time..." Far too formal for anyone not making sales call... Once I said we already had NBN, she hung up on me.
