Like others, several calls, 2 rings, then hangs up no message. That's what caller ID is for; I saved it into contacts as "Scammer" so I know not to answer. Eventually they'll give up, if not, if I go to answer I'll see it's not worth the bother from the ID.

Yes, this comes from NSW Rural Fire Service seeking donations. Unfortunately charities are exempt from the DNC register but wonder if that could apply to companies acting on RFS behalf. Legal loophole there, the fact that they spam call you should permit legal action under DNC legislation.

This number has called me everyday for just over a week. sometimes twice a day, they did twice on sunday too. usually between midday and just after dinner. I haven't answered the phone yet, just letting it go to voicemail after seeing the caller ID and they never leave a message. I looked them up here after the first time they called to see what they were. glad I didn't pick up, but surely they will give up and stop calling me soon, right? I am on the do not call register.....

once again getting phone calls that just hang up after a few rings - to late wakes the baby - what do we have to do to stop people ringing. Have registered with 'do no call' what a joke

I have been getting a barrage of calls from a range of different fake numbers. Yesterday there was a message about tax evasion! I know this to be another scam.

I rang the number back and got a recorded message saying that it was for a Kids Cancer project or something like that. Obviously looking for donations etc.

Same here. Ah well, another to be listed under numbers not to answer - that makes 20 different regular callers now
