This number calls everyday of the week and each time they seem to go for a different hour. I have caller ID but gee should they be allowed to infringe on our personal time. What ever happened to courtesy? People are struggling enough financially and just because someone chooses to donate when they can it shouldn't give the so called "charity organization" the free pass to guilt people into more donations.

Yep, it's the House with no steps. Once you get on their mailing list there seems to be no way of getting off. The lesson is NEVER donate to a charity that calls you at home. They'll keep calling you until you change your number.

An early Sat morning call, before 9am. I recognised the number from yesterday's call, so didn't pick-up.

They call every day and as soon as I answer they hang up.

I have blocked all the charities by barring them on my cordless phone - so if you have one read the manual to see how to bar numbers - since then it has been peaceful. The phone will just ring once and then nothing

This number has been ringing for months now at anytime of the day. I know they are some sort of charity because of this list. How much longer will they ring before they realise I'n not going to answer. These calls make me less inclined to give.

Had a call from this number this morning and its so annoying especially when you are on another call and the number comes up. You answer the phone and there is silence and then they promptly hang up on you. Please someone do something about it.

Lots of charities must have banded together! My answer to a call if I am at home is " I do nothing over the phone so goodbye!" If I am not at home and have a missed call, I do not contact numbers I do not recognise. I am on the "do not call" register but it does not seem to be working.

only two people know my number, my mum and Telstra. this number and an over seas number keep calling me, the overseas number is trying to scam money off me for a 'car accident' I've never had. She said it was the 'accident hot line?' and knew my name, address, etc. I started getting very angry and asked for her manager but she would not pass me on. I am disgusted all my details are out there and I blame Telstra. 8yrs with optus and not one scam call, 1yr with Telstra and nothing but continues phone calls....

The House with no steps Charity, Guide Dogs Charity & State Emergency organisation are making myself & my wife's lives a misery with the harassing phone calls. I suggest we all band together & sue these organisations feo harassment

I'm so sick of these bastards calling me. What do these charities think, they're only pushing people away from them. I've emailed HWNS asking to be taken off their lists, if I still get calls from them I will take further action by going to the telecommunications ombudsmen. Nobody should have to be put up with these constant phone calls.

I had a call from House with no steps today. Before "Sandra" could launch into her spiel I politely told her I wasn't giving any money at the moment. She said she wasn't asking for any money today and then carried right on with her script until she got up to the bit about raffle tickets. I stopped her and reminded her that I had said I wasn't giving any money. She said, "Oh but you don't have to pay until June, that's why I said I wasn't asking for money TODAY." I said, "But you are asking for money and I am not in a position to give any at the moment." I was polite and she was polite but I was annoyed that she ignored what I'd said and pressed on regardless. Next time they call it's going to be a firm "no" followed by a click.

Rings sometimes 2 or 3 times a day no one on line so don't pick it up now

Most annoying that they (House with no steps) ring several times in a day & if I answer there is silence, if my wife answers they give her their spiel.

had 3 calls from them last week - nowadays if my phone displays a number with an 8 as the first digit (after the 02) I don't pick it up, as it's 99% asking for money.

Only one time I got caught out by a friend calling me from an 8 number, but they can get me another way if they want.

My big mistake was to donate to charities over the phone. Now I get many calls from different charities - it seems they share telephone lists. Have caller ID and no longer answer these calls, after dashing to the phone. NEVER donate to any charity etc over the phone!!

They call me regularly, 8 times in the last three days at all hours of the day and evening. Never leave a message and I am sick of it. I do not answer when I who it is but that hasn't stopped me from dropping everything to get to the phone in case it is a family member of friend.
