Legitimate call from Commonwealth Bank representative after I requested a callback earlier when waiting in their phone queue

I've been getting net codes sent to me that I haven't done, also messages to say they need me to get in touch regarding an identification request made with the commonwealth bank. Issued this call and called back and it went to an automated recording saying to go to a website. I went into the bank and they said it's fraud

Called Commbank to confirm that this isn't a number that Commank uses and they've confirmed that it's not and that it's a scammer attempting to get KYC information from customers. Do not listen to the scammers on here who are saying it's a genuine number. Do not give any information to there people.

I received a missed call from this number claiming to be Bankwest (which is owned by CommBank), asking me to call back at 1300 132 574. I contacted Bankwest through the app, and to my surprise, they confirmed it was a call from them regarding a campaign. While the number may be legitimate, there is no guarantee that it isn't spoofed by an impersonator. Given all the negative feedback, if in doubt, always contact your bank directly to verify.

They are usually doing a security check on a large transfer of money

I was contacted by the number stating it was Bankwest from Perth WA. I checked the caller and received a verbal and SMS confirmation that I was speaking to my actual bank.

An Aussie-accented lady said she was calling from Bankwest regarding an email I’d received earlier. She then asked me to verify my details and read out my voice password. Even when I said I’d forgotten it, she told me to guess and try?! When I asked her to resend the email she was referring to, she said she’d send me an SMS instead. I received the SMS, which appeared to come from Bankwest, but it asked me to call another number.

Scot said he is from commonwealth Bank and wanted to do KYC. I refused to give my details and asked to send me a letter or mail. Nothing heard so for. Please don't answer anything on Phone in regards to your bank details.

Yes,i have same situation like you,apparently the lady has strong Indian accent while talking.
I told her I will go to bank in person to find out the issue.

Said he was from Commonwealth Bank and there were suspect purchases on one my Visa card at a certain shopping centre. I don't have a Visa card with that bank., so instantly knew it was a scam, so hung up....

Asked her what the call was about, Sharon said its confidential and once confirmed with my personal ID she will then explain. Sharon said she will send me a link into my Commbank App and to read it out to her.
I refused to play this game as I dont have any messages or anything that I have asked of from Commonwealth Bank. When I told her to call me back later due to suspicion, she said she will send me something in my CommBank app, and next time I will believe her.
However its been 46 mins and nothing new in my App. And reading these posts, I believe it is FRAUD. Be Aware !

This number is Comm bank - I recently started an application for a new account which I didn't complete. I received a call from this number to see if I am going to continue with the application.

This is legitimate and verified CBA phone number. I called CBA on Sunday afternoon in regards to an issue with PayID not working from my business account. As I was using my phone access my account and speak to the rep, I accidentally ended the call. Immediately the rep called me back from this number and cited recorded call policy before continuing to resolve my issue.

Tried to call me then 8 minutes later my bank contacted me saying there was attempted fraud and my cards been blocked for security purposes

Deleted , blocked and reported as spam
