Tried calling me repeatedly, even though I had told them I was leaving for another energy provider. They had their chance to give a competitive plan, but only wanted to do so after I had signed up to another provider. Pathetic!

I switched to a cheaper supplier and within days of doing so Origin rang me 2-3 times a day. An incredibly annoying way of doing business. I'd been with them for over 2 years and they never called me. It would make more sense to hang onto your existing customers by looking after them than this annoying knee jerk reaction to losing you! Number blocked.

I've received 3 calls from this number today alone. I blocked this number the other day after they called me. I haven't been with Origin Energy for a long time so they shouldn't be calling me this frequently. It definitely seems like a scam. Scam , blocked Caller: Claimed to be origin
Missed a call from a similar number (02) 8514 2136 and rang back. Got a recorded message saying it was Origin Energy who were contacting me regarding my account. Like several others on this post, I have recently switched my account to another service provider. Transfer has already been completed. No reason for Origin to call now.
One of the posts states that when they checked with Origin, they did not have any record of the calls. My guess is that someone has access to when people change account and is providing the information to scammers so that it seems legit. If in doubt, always end the call. Do not provide any information regarding name, address, etc.

it is origin i called them back after they had been calling twice a day every day for the last 3 days. same story as others left them 6 months ago they are only interested in my business now that i have moved on. much better deal with alinta origin energy Caller: Origin
They've called me numerous times over the last few days, I moved from them about a year ago. The first call I asked them not to call me back, and told them that if I was in the market for a new provider I would contact them. Just then they called and I told the operator that I'd already asked that they not call me again and she hung up

This is supposed to be blocked but a text has now come through saying I have missed a call from them!
I had moved my electricity account from Origin to Alinta. An Origin person did manage to contact me and asked why. Financial advantage was the reply Origin was then interested in doing something about this! I explained that it would have been better if they had done something about this beforehand. I see another comment similar to this!
They are calling constantly after I disconnected my service with them.

I have attempted to switch from Origin to Energy Australia since September.
Origin keep sending out bills for doing as estimate only. I have tried numerous times to have them organise the final metre reading but they won't do it. All they seem to be trying to do is call to try and keep me as a customer. I will be lodging a formal complaint.
Keeps calling me but when I pick up all I can hear is a long continuous tone. I hang up, then get a call again after a few minutes with the same tone sound.
I'm pretty sure it's Origin trying to bring me back to them because I switched.
I'm assuming it's Origin calling as (like others posting here) I'm switching to another retailer - after years of being with Origin, they couldn't be bothered in proactively offering me a better deal when my contract ended, yet were happy to slug me with hundreds of dollars in additional billing without so much as an apology - it's only now that I have decided to switch that they come grovelling - they had their chance and blew it....
I left Origin three years ago. I hate electricity providers and I advise people to change their providers periodically. This keeps them on their toes. Caller: Origin Energy
Fielded 2 calls approx 1-2 months apart from Origin Energy after I changed providers for a better deal. Clear tactic was trying to keep me on the phone as long as possible to change back to them. After 1st caller insulted me by implying I was an idiot was not wanting to save more money, I gave him a verbal spray and hung up. 2nd call received the same response from me today. If Origin truly cared about keeping its customers it would be proactive offering cheaper rates, instead of waiting for them to change providers. I will NEVER again use or recommend Orgin Energy to anyone and will get family members to follow suit. Origin if you really record calls for training purposes maybe you should listen to them sometime to find out not what to do.
