I rang NAB and they confirmed THIS IS A SCAM - NO DOUBT ABOUT IT!!.
NAB confirmed they don't use automated call systems and would not telephone clients out of the blue in this way. The scammer knew my full name, but NAB said scammers can get these details from online orders, or by stealing mail. Other posts on this thread claim instead that this is not a scam - RUBBISH! These posts are probably made by the scammers themselves.

If you are late with your NAB credit card payment, then you are going to receive a call from this number. Not a scam.

It is soooo annoying!! the call from 85034690 saying it is NAB.... I just knew it is not right. Then they called again in the afternnon a few hours later, caller automated voice mail with American accent. I try to follow the prompt to see if anyone will pick up a call. I tried to figure out who is that SCAMMER ! decided to hang up - not sure if they will get some info out of me if I continue,.... it is scary nowadays with so many scandal calls... I am SURE it is NOT NAB. BECAREFUL!!

That cant be true - because I just missed a call from them and I'm not even with NAB.

This scam number left 10 messages on my voicemail, all of them pointless and indecipherable. The number is blocked, and it still goes through to voicemail. This person is a total moron intent on scamming people. Don't ever answer this number.

It's not a scam, it is actually NAB. Calls from this number are when your credit card or mortgage payment is overdue, or if your transaction account is overdrawn, which mine currently is.

It doesn't ask for any personal details, pins or passwords, it just asks you to confirm when you will be making the payment.

Again, it's not a scam, it IS actually NAB.

It claims to be NAB but it's a scam. Signs are:
- it's an automated message
- it pronounces NAB funny
- it gives only one option to selection
- I don't owe NAB any credit card debt
- called NAB back from their phone number on their website and confirmed they don't do these kind of calls

Recorded message saying it is NAB. They actually state your full name which is very convincing - although it is a SCAM.

Over the past few months I have received several calls a day from this number. They usually start around the middle of the month for about 4-5 days. It is an automated call claiming to be from the NAB Bank.
I have checked with the NAB on several occasions and have been told that the NAB never use automated voice calls when ringing clients. This number is blocked on my phone but still manages to come through, how does that happen?

I have had several calls from this number over the last three months, sometimes up to 6 a day. This is an automated call claiming to be from the NAB bank, requesting I enter my telephone number so my details can be retrieved. I have phoned the NAB bank who confirm that they never use automated calls requesting you enter your personal information. The NAB also confirmed that no one from the NAB has been trying to call me as there were no notes or messages on my file. If for any reason the NAB has to speak with me, an actual person will make the call and if I havent answered the call, they will leave a message asking I return their call. Also I have a persons name to ask to speak with. I have reported this number several times, but it still keeps ringing. I just wish whoever it is will get caught.

What the story

It is actually NAB calling. These phone calls with automated messages are done when someone defaults on a mortgage payment. I advise caution though. If you get one of these calls and do want to hear the information, listen but don't speak.

I have had several calls over the last week from this number, never leave a message. It is an automated call claiming to be from the NAB bank requesting that I enter my NAB telephone banking ID, so my details can be retrieved. I have spoken with the NAB Bank who assure me that they never ring anyone using automated call, if a staff member wished to speak with me, they would call me personally. If I was unable, they would leave a message for me to call and also leave the name of person that I need to speak with.
When I call this number back, I get the automated mesaage asking me to enter my details. I have blocked the number, but it still calls.

its just the automated system for NAB by now pay later reminding you payments are overdue

It’s not NAB. I don’t have a credit card or mortgage with them so they can’t be calling about those

Caller: NAB Macquarie Centre

NAB was calling me about a credit I had received to an account I had closed. It was a legit call to go to the Macquarie Centre branch to collect the credit.

Its a scam. You have to call NAB to confirm. Your phone might have an App that track your banking transfer.
