Had a pop up come up on my lap top, wouldn't let me shut it down and said it was from Dodo. Said my security was at risk and that I had to call this number so that someone could talk me through removing possible adware/spyware.

Said my security was at risk and that I had to call this number so that someone could talk me through removing possible adware/spyware. Havent called the number, but found it odd, as my lap top is not connected to broadband or a router, I run it through my mobile phone which has a windows operating system, so why wouldn't it send that message to my phone instead. If anyone else has dealt with this please let me know.

This happened to me last night. Pop up kept coming up saying "warning! Your computer is at risk, call this number immediately to speak to an IT" so silly me (having no idea about computers) called the number. The Indian guy on the phone told me to download some website with a blue cross, "rescue something". He got into my computer and told me I needed to pay 300 U.S. Dollars to fix a problem that wasn't even there. Told me my firewall was unprotected. I have a Mac and apparently they don't have firewall. After he asked for the money I said no and he was quite rude and hung up. I called my friend an IT immediately and he got my computer fixed. 240 viruses the scumbag crook put on my computer. Please BEWARE guys!!! They are out to scam you big time! Such creeps asking personal questions to how much my computer cost to what job I do and how long I have been married. Felt disgusting after I realised it was a scam. If you see this on your computer DO NOT CALL!!!!!

Just had the same thing happened to me and i called the number and the guy said his name is Robin and that he is from Apple and will help remove any spyware on my computer. I found it suspicious as he tried to tell me to log into logmeinrescue.com. I didnt log in, i just hung up...hope there is nothing revealed to them

Same message TPG .called this no the Indian voice -He wanted remote accses log in to my computer. I think it is a scam........

Yes, same message but from TPG. I shut down my laptop and turn the Internet/wifi off.

My son was on the internet when a message came up saying his computer had been compromised and a virus, to call the above number. he pulled the plug on the computer then phoned the number, he was told he was from Telstra support he wanted him to give him access to the computer he would fix it but he had to send him $150.00 . he disconnected the call,.

that was a HACKER. My husband rang that number for tracing who's behind, my husband asked his name then he said Neon then after given many question he said his name is Joshua, my husband asked him where is your office he said from Melbourne, Australia then my husband said again i will go and bring my computer to fix you and pay so that give your exact address then suddenly his office from California, see .... it was a HACKER.... my antivirus alert that THERE'S SOMEONE TRYING TO SEE ENTER TO MY PC...

a warning came up telling me to call this number ASAP, and said that my photos, credit card details etc were at risk? im not sure whether its a scam or what but i sure aint gonna call it just in case it is!

Hi this has just happened to me and it won't let me shut down my internet page! How did you fix it? It has somehow removed all options for me to close it down :(

I had the same message pop up using chrome on windows 10. It even had audio say saying my ip and isp.
