Caller: Dell Australia
This was an absolutely legitimate call from Dell Australia, to confirm that I had placed an online order.
Caller: some imbecile from dell
imbecile asked for my name but told me he was my new account manager ....go figure.....i hung up immediately...dont respond when they call as they record your voice...imbeciles indeef
Asked for former staff member and wanted to know if we needed any help with items purchased 4 years ago . Tried to sell upgraded equipment. Legitimate call, but annoying.
Caller: Dell Support Representative
Genuine callback from my Dell support rep. Could well be India based, but definitely a legitimate call.
You can't ring the number back. I was not home when they rang & the person who answered the phone could understand them & the volume of the call was very low. Best guess is that they have had trouble with a Paypal payment (which seems to be the case in other examples listed prior to mine). When I tried to ring Dell on a customer support number they told me there was nobody available as it was the weekend - yet they had rung me. Not impressed with the drop in quality for Dell customer service & if they seemingly have repeat problems with Paypal they shouldn't offer it as a payment option.
Caller: asked for Mark.
Told him it was not his mobile and hang up.

Old fashioned crooks!
Caller: Unknown Female
Claimed to be from Dell. Asked to reply to an email with my bank details. Very soft voice and hard to hear.
Caller: Guy from Printex
Called me Saturday evening. Said they were from Printex and worked with lots of printer companies. Said they had a notification for our company but had trouble reaching us. I said they could find the email on our website but he wanted me to give him a model number of any printer we have. Sounds dodgy at the very least. They've tried to call several times and I'm now ignoring them. I would suggest they are not genuine.
Claimed to be from Dell about recent order I had place. Asked stupid questions - hard to understand. When I stonewalled they said they would contact the bank and hung up. Rang Dell on number on my order - advised not a Dell number Claimed to be from Dell about recent order - asked stupid questions - hard to understand. When I stonewalled they said they would contact the Bank to sort. Rang Dell number on order form - they advised not a Dell number The caller mentioned he is from Dell but his communication is really unprofessional. He paused in the conversation without completing the sentence. I had to keep asking if he is still on the line. This made me doubt if he is indeed from Dell. I am unable to believe that this is the quality of Dell. Called me last week, did not leave a message, I rang back, it was engaged, they called again today, I answered but no one responded. Apparently there was some problem with my paypal transaction, and would I like it to be cancelled. This was on a Friday night at 6.30. When I said I would deal with it personally, he hung up. Tried to ring back but number engaged. I received a call at 6.30 today, Friday, telling me that I had recently purchased a computer from Dell but there was some issue processing paypal and would they like me to cancel the paypal transaction. The guy was Indian and at spoke quite softly. When he rang, he waited for me to start the conversation till I reminded him that he had something to tell me as he had rung me. Anyway, I said I would deal with paypal personally, so he told me to be aware of the issue, whatever the issue was , and hung up An Indian guy from Dell Australia call and ask why I purchase another laptop within a week ( I paid both using my own credit card ). I said I bought one for my niece and one for my self. He said you have to make a different mode of payment, we can't process your order. He then hung up without me asking a further question. In Dell online store said anyone can purchase up to 5 units. This Verification team from India is holding grudges against Dell customer. The Indian male left a voicemail, referring to my "recent Dell purchase" (September 2016 is not recent), specifying that he will be my "sole contact from this point forward" for Dell and that he can get me discounts etc for future purchases. Sounds 100% dodgy. Mispronounced my name, and my business name. Difficult to understand the Indian accent. I highly doubt Dell would allow one person to be a customer liaison. legit call dell
