Automated call from Taxation office.
Terminated call when it became known it was automated call from tax Office.
All indications of a scam call

Foreign accented male left a message saying he was from some Courthouse and I or my lawyer was to phone back otherwise the local police would be round to arrest me. I obviously did not phone back.

A male caller with accent left message saying they were from Commonwealth Courthouse or ATO, they left 2 messages saying you or your lawyer need to call back immediately. Believe scam call, they called twice also using the following number (02) 8607 5073

Same message about a tax fraud and needing to speak to my lower, but it was an automated message. When I called back a male answered with "Hello" the hung up. Sounds like a scam to me.

Called the number same male said he was from Tax Office and asked for my name? I Refused to give it he said couldnt help me unless I gave info. I called him out on his scam and hung up.

Had the automatic message, then later in the day "John" rang and said he was
phoning about our "Debt to the ATO", I told him he was a scammer and he hung up.

Got a call today... left an incomplete message on the answering machine claiming that there was a tax fraud against the owner of the phone number.. Sounded suspicious.

Male voice rang yesterday (21/09/2016) and left a message. Claimed he was from the police. Wanted to speak to me or my lawyer.

Automated scam call, bad enough, but calling at 6:45AM, I would like to personally meet them in a dark alley to express my opinion more personally.

Message uses non-specific language like "Goto a courthouse in your territory". If it was legit, it would know me and my address and therefore my state. Definite scam.

Computer generated voicemail message on our answering service 'in reference to a tax fraud and tax evasion case against you.........' call this number. Scam call I believe. Coincidentally or otherwise, same day, I received an SMS message telling me to call Priscilla at the 'Tax Department' 1300 880 217. Interestingly, this number is listed on the ATO website contacts page but since when has the ATO called itself the 'Tax Departmemt'? Another scam?

People pretending they are the ATO and requesting money from us on several occasions, $6,000! Became very aggressive.
