Male with Indian accent, posing as a representative of the ATO, requests information about our lawyers for the pending legal action against us & threats of large fines. There is no action being taken by the ATO against us.

Same experience, had me going for a little bit (what a schmuck) but when they couldn't give me my first name or age I hung up. They actually called a second time and first thing I did was ask for my first name and they hung up.

Total Scam. Called them back and they asked for my number. Told them to F off and that I would report them to the police, then got a barrage of abuse calling me Black Mother F&#%#$. Great fun. Would report number to police but probably a temp skype number?

Message left on machine from a recorded female voice 1st part and female possibly Indian 2nd part stating that they are from IQ Headquarters, quoted a case number and said it was in regards to Tax Evasion/Fraud and that a arrest warrant was about to be issued and if I ignored this that I would suffer the consequences. Very treating tone used. Also recieved a similar call a few days ago from (02) 6140 3438

So glad I looked this up - same here male with indian accent saying I have a tax evasion case against my name. Left a voicemail to call him back stating its time sensitive or action will be taken against me. Total BS! they called 23/9/15

A mixed accent left a message on landline saying a case invasion against your name (did name me) concerning tax evasion and tax fraud. Said that legal costs would need to be paid if no action was taken.

Have received one of these calls also and apparently legal action is going to be taken against me if I don't ring them back thanks everyone for voicing your complaints feeling much better

I also found a very unprofessional message about tax evasion from a Indian man, making ridiculous threats, I only wish I had been home to take the call, he would not have liked the lady on the other end!!

Male with Irish Accent advising serious criminal charges will be laid. Claimed to be from the ATO. This is a scam
