Scam. Called them back, she had an accent. Stuttered as she tried to answer my questions. Do not give your personal details to them

I received a call from these people they got my number from my father. They were looking for my sister. after I asked about getting company/ organisation details they put me on hold for about 5 minutes and later said they cannot give me this information. I asked for a phone number and they gave me this number. I have reported them to the ACCC scam watch.

They called looking for someone under a weird name. Must be from a debt collecting company.

Wouldn't tell me where they were calling from. Which is very bad because debt collecting has to say where they are calling from.

I have had several calls from this number but they never leave a message. No idea who they are.

called looking for a relative who has the same initial as me - wanted his contact details. I refused and offered to pass on her name & number. she refused. sounded possibly Filipino.

I have been receiving so many scam calls lately. Never answer any of them. Blocking the number!

These guys left me a message saying they have a "very important matter to discuss with me and call me back in 15minutes..." The guy had an accent kinda like from the Middle Eastern area or India. I have not given my number to anyone accept my bank and I give others my second number for business related matters as I have a dual SIM card phone. But they called my personal number. Strange but not too worried though. Stupid unknown super heroes.lol

Just got a call from my very clever Mum who said some guy had called their home looking for me - using my maiden name. She refused to give any details and when she questioned him regarding his company or what it was about, he would not offer anything else. Nothing. Apparently he'd called an uncle of mine searching for me too, using my maiden name. The complete refusal to offer any kind of information about the call or their name raises a red flag. Mum said he gave her this number and INSISTED that I call ASAP. I googled it immediately and it's just as I thought it would be. Dodgy.

i keep getting calls from this number exactly the same dealings as post from confused. who is it? im sick and tired of the calls and want to know who is behind them.

This number has been trying to track me down for some reason, I have no debt so they can't be debt collectors, they've rung friends and family off my Facebook account, I managed to get their number and they wouldn't even tell me what their "company" did and I said yes you can tell me, if you're a debt collector you can tell me that information (I did not tell them my name or any info about myself). I am very wary about this number and I hope to find out tomorrow what the hell is going on and why they're bugging my family and friends when they could easily get in contact with me!

Left me a message on my work phone saying they had some very important news & I was to call then back ASAP, but upon returning their call I found they instead asked me very strange questions about my surname, which they had wrong initially. They then said they we looking for someone else with my same first name but different surname (my maiden name), to which I told them that that that was infact me, to which they then said sorry we are looking for same first name another surname (my married name), to which I told them this was me again!!! & they again responded that it was again the wrong person....They knew which town I lived in, where I worked, but had my DOB incorrect (didn't give them this!) Alarm bells went off when I hear cheering in the background, so I asked where they were calling from, to which I was told it was confidential & they had the wrong person. I hung up! Hope they weren't putting together info 4 identity theft?
