Received a call from "Esure" female, British accent. I knew this to be a phishing exercise, and said so - she denied it. I asked to speak with a manager, and I asked where she was calling from - she said "Sydney Australia". She then gave me a phone number - (02) 8103 3070. I said if you are calling me from Sydney Australia, why would you give me the country code for my own country. No response. I hung up. I then did a Google search for Esure - sure enough, a British company. No Australia base that I could find. I then rang the number back. Spoke to "Thomas", another nice British accent. Thomas then became belligerent when I started questioning him about why I was being called. He wished me luck on my "one-man crusade against the company". I have sent an email to CustomerRelationsExec @ esure.com complaining about their telemarketing and phishing practices, as well as to the DoNotCall register. I have now blocked them on my mobile, but I do not have the ability on my home phonme (I have received calls there too!). I just wish I knew where they get your details from!!!

Interestingly the information that was quoted to me about myself were gleaned of Facebook. But yes, called up about a motor vehicle accident. Dodgy scammer.

A guy rang me after-hours at 5:40pm, the line was very bad and I could not hear what he was saying at all. Kept asking him to repeat himself, he finally gave up and said 'bye!'. Thanks for the heads up, I have blocked the number since.

Just got a call from this number at 10am this morning for the same thing. I did not provide him with any information but he seemed pretty persistent to get feedback and to get my details. I told him that I wasn't in a motor vehicle accident and then he went quiet and hung up.

They rang my mum and she is now very distressed as she did have an accident a few years ago where she got badly hurt and thought everything was resolved. These scum need to be stopped! I told her for the first time in her life tell them if they ring again to F*** off and she agreed.

This number pops up on Messages saying that I missed a call. My phone has never rung as they are on my auto reject list, out of curiosity I called back to only get a busy tone. This has happened 4 days in a row!

E-sure? Said I had a MVA last 12 months (same as others)... British accent, they knew my full name and area I lived in- I've received about 25 calls from these guys in the last two weeks? 2/3 a day! I told the girl I'd never had my licence and/or car, as I never have and she went "oh..... well" then hung up. Stupid scammers

I also just had the same call. They knew my name and number only. I don't have a car in my name so it could not have been insurance companies giving out my details. He was an Irish guy; I'm Irish background too so decided to press him on info. He admitted that they get the details from marketing companies for the sole purpose of trying to sell and trying to find someone who has actually been in an accident. Total scam. They do the same thing in the UK too. Esure

I've received the same phone call! I was told I had been in a MVA over the last 12 months, when I said I hadn't and asked who was calling they said 'okay' and hung up. Now when I try to call back to talk to them it says 'your call is important too us' then it says 'sorry, that is the incorrect extension' and the call ends.
Bunch of scammers!

Auto dialler called my phone, & then agent picked up/ (I'm guessing an internet phone as voice quality was horrible) Irish accent guy tells me "I've be in a motor vehicle accident ....." but wouldn't state reason for call until I answered his question. So I hung up, found this site & posted this comment. - Block the number.
