I had the same call yesterday, asking if I'd had a car accident in the last 12 months. When I said 'if I'd had one I would not be calling your'. She hung up.

They called and said nothing

Scam, ringing about a supposed accident my husband had. The spoke with a Non English accent and from the background noise were in a call centre

Called my private number, which is also listed on the Do Not Call Register... In breach of the Privacy Act, and no doubt a scam!!

Yes, both my mother, then I had this call. She had it and they rang me a half hour later trying the same scam. Same details as the others above - insurer apparently calling about a car accident.

Person with 'non-english speaking background' called to enquire about an accident I had. When I laughed so hard that I got into a coughing fit, they played a voice recording of some spiel about undeclared accident and then terminated the call.

Yep a scam! I did have a car accident earlier this year. I started receiving calls from these people about a month after. They call stating that they needed my bank details to complete my claim. My insurance was finalised a week after the accident and no payments or further claims were made. They also call my parents number phone as my Dad was in the car with me at the time, and we have the same initials. Grrrrrr

Just received call from insurance company asking, "if I had been involved in a car accident in the last 12 months" - at which I said no. I must have been in the accident with Den. Funny thing was they knew my name.

Called, they knew my name and said they were from E- sure, I didn't reply then they said something before hanging up

Today 28.7.2016 around 4:30pm I've got a call from (02) 8103 3003 from someone (I didn't understand his name or company's name), related to my recent car accident, trying to offer my some money... I stopped him explaining that I didn't have any car accident in the past 10 years....and he did apologies & hang up the phone.
Definitely SCAM!

Yes I just had someone on a very bad line calling me about an accident that I had, as I could not hear her I asked her to call back, and of course, nothing.

Calling me about a car accident claim I had had in the last 3 months. Of course, I haven't had car accident for last 20 years. Very poor English, I couldn't understand which company and where they are from. Would not identify what accident and where.

Tried calling back but engaged. From my research it probably some scamming, smelly indian...so don't worry.
