I also just received a call from someone from "Reclaim Expert Department" with a "secret" application code number: LA143 (same as Hazza received on 12 June above, I mean even the same code number!!). He also had a very strong Indian accent, with a name of John Cooper?? Ha, ha... I also asked him where is he calling from and he told me Level 2, Angel Place District, Sydney?? Asked about house number, which he said 2000. I didn't give my DOB as I said what do you need that for, he didn't force the issue. I was supposed to receive a cheque for the amount of $5,248.00. Anyway I don't believe in sudden windfalls, so I didn't ring back, but got onto Google and found this site. What concerns me is, that they have my name, phone number and address. Mind you anybody can get it out of the phone book. I am even listed with the "Do not call register", but they are still ringing!! When I looked up the address, that's what I found: "City Recital Hall, This world class performance space is the first specially designed concert venue to be built in Sydney since the Opera House in 1973 and its opening had musicians and audiences throughout Sydney applauding."

Got the same message. All bogus.

I received this ph call as well, accept this guy was John Anderson and the woman i spoke to called herself Alice Wilson. Indians with English first names and surnames it sounded to good to be true.
If the so called check was coming from the Federal Government they would send it direct.

This Indian accent guy claimed to call from Australian federal reclaim department, then ask me to call this number with a given code. While I was searching on net to confirm whether this is a spam call. He called again to ask why didn't I call this given number. I told him I have informed police bat this call & they confirmed that he is a scam. He quickly hang up the phone. This is even confirm that it's a scam. I gave them my bank name & date of birth. No bank details. Hope they can't do anything with it...
