They have called 5 times today claiming it is Jason O'Connor from the Australian Taxation Office. He says there is a warrant out for my arrest for unpaid tax and that a police officer will come to my home to arrest me. Then he says to call the above number and "have a nice day"

Yes, I got 4 phone calls. Those are recorded messages. I also got a woman telling the same things.

Just got the same call from a Jasson OConnor on my answering machine. Its a scam report it to the tax office on 1800 008 540

Dear Jason O'Connor, I know that you are not with the ATO, I know that this is a scam. Please stop ringing and leaving your stupid (and obviously recorded) message on our phone. Do not give them your tax file number, because if they were with the ATO they would know it -- otherwise how would they know you were evading tax!!!!! Besides which, if I was inadvertently evading tax there would be one very expensive accountant who would get a kick up the bum!

I received a call on July 21 2016 and they left a message informing me that the local police will be called etc.. I called them back and now I keep calling and harassing them. It was from Jason and then Alex. They have asked me to stop calling them but I won't LOL.

Jason O'Connor has just left a message on my answering machine. Now waiting for the police to arrest me!!!!

Does anyone know how you can get Telstra to remove this number, which is clearly being used for a scam?

I've had a voice message from Jason. He says that a "lawsuit" is imminent, but he doesn't name me (or anyone else). I have no intention of calling back.

Also got the same message. Rang back out of interest as the phone number here is a business. The guy with an Indian accent told me Jason O"Connor was in a meeting with the Treasurer.

I got this message on my mum's answering machine today and as she is out of the country, I heard it. Some retarded piece of sh*t says something like "There is a lawsuit against you for tax evasion at your local court house. You need to go to the local police station because otherwise a police officer will come to your house and arrest you".

My mum has never missed out on paying her tax, she's very good at being on top of things. It annoys the F out of me that some random piece of sh*t has the audicity to come up with this. He didn't even state a name or location so obviously he doesn't have mum's details, only her phone number but still . . . grrr !!!

I also received the same phone call from the same person as Jess mentioned in my home phone line. I informed the Police, ATO and Scam watch office.caller sound were very weird.

Yep, same details as Jess described. Doesn't say for whom they are saying the warrant is for? Guess I'll have to wait for the police officer to come and arrest me.
