I presume it was the scam about the NBN being in the area and your old connection would be cut off in 24 hts. I had 5 of them yesterday.,!

If your phone number/s are registered on the Do Not Call Register, this should stop unsolicited calls where the person/company trying to contact you is via a purchased contact list. There are penalties in place if they harass you and can be reported. However, Charities are exempted from this list. If you receive a call from a Registered Charity simply ask for your contact details be removed from their call list. They are understanding and will not call you again.

They bloody ring you every afternoon and if you answer it's just a blank line! So painful!

charity - sick of the calls because they think im someone i am not! If i ever find out who carol is i might just tell where she can shove it! (she signed up for a survey and used my number!) I have asked them time and time again to loose my number and yet they still call. Beyond stupid!!!

Unfortunately even if you're on the DNC registry that doesn't apply to charities. I usually call the charity myself and ask to have my number removed from their call roster if they call me more than once. Or I block their number though they will often then call from a different one. The fist time they identified themselves as the VCI, the last time - same number- but they hung up when I answered.

Victor Chang - a wonderful charity, but i wish they'd stop calling me. I'm no longer on a pension and haven't been making ends meet (need a phone still to be contacted for work hopefully). Wish I could help, but I can't. Please stop calling.
