They were trying to sell solar panels, We are on the Do Not Call register, but this number called us... No results listed from here.

They have obviously switched tactics - they are now calling from a mobile no. 0418 359 694.
Driving us nuts and they are totally oblivious to anything that you say to them.

These calls will eventually stop because what I have started doing after months of these calls where I told the person on the other end to stop ringing me and then being abused by them. I thought about how I could make the experience of ringing me a bad one and I found a pressure can with a air horn on top which was once used to blast full time in my kids Foyt games. So the next time they rang I had the hooter next too the phone and gave them a blast, so eventually they will go deaf and stop annoying us!

Selling Solar supposedly. As with many others we are on the Do Not Call register, for all the good that does. Most likely not a Sydney number at all but diverted to look like it. Totally fed up with these calls.

While the telesales company might be overseas, the company whose products they are selling ARE in Australia and can therefore be prosecuted for ignoring the DNCR.
Next time you get a call, string them along and have them get a local rep to call you. As soon as you get the name of the company, BINGO - take them to ACMA and let them throw the book at them.

Ditto, continually calling land line which we don't answer thanks to caller ID, rang 4-5 times in about 10 mins this afternoon and the last call had hardly stopped ringing when their number came through on my mobile. We're also on the no not call register for all phone numbers. One call last week went through to msg bank and could just hear call centre 'noises' in the background.

constantly getting calls from this number...there is either "dead air" then a hang-up, or some person who does NOT listen when I tell them to "please do not call my number" and "I am not interested"...they still keep calling. Question: why doesn't the DO NOT CALL register work if they keep calling from this Sydney number??

Add another one - on the DNC and a pushy little number who indicated "your husband will be very pleased that you thought about saving money"!

They called and left a voicemail message of a male voice saying "Hello" 3 times.
So annoying, having to call my voicemail for that. He did not take the opportunity to even say why he was calling/ where he was from. I can't imagine why these people think you would actually do business with them if you did want solar panels!
It is a Sydney number, so the Do Not Call Register should stand...obviously they think they are above the law. Everyone needs to report them for the office of the Register to act.

Unfortunately the Do Not Call register only covers calls made within Australia. The solar panel callers are located overseas so the register doesn't apply.

When I answered I said "Hello" 4 times, no response. Finally a recorded female voice said "Goodbye" there were 3 bips then a hang up.
