  Indian / Asian man wanted to gain remote access to my computer. Claimed to be a company support service provider used by microsoft and sunsystems. Apparently I had lots of junk files that needed to be removed. After I was reluctant and informed him I do not want anyone remotely accessing my PC he "showed" me a lot of files by asking me to put a code into the RUN screen that pops up when you press Windows R and then was starting to ask if his senior engineer could "fix" them!!! After still being skeptical I was asked to type in a website www.srecurenow.com and to call a number (02) 8014 7449 to verify the call. After checking the website and finding spelling errors also their WebPages were not displaying like a professional IT company I eventually hung up. I am concerned they new my name and phone number, not sure where they obtained the information from but I am listed in the phone book so could of got it from there.

  Friday 26/11/10 I also was called by a guy  named Alan Plant who maintained he was from s.recurenow.com, who also said he workd for Windows I fell for the trap and paid $188.54 for them to scam my computer.  Is my computer safe now or not.  I paid by Credit card also. How do I retrieve my money back and what my mext move be.  Alan Plant also called me again at 9.46pm 30/11/10 trying to sell me another program I told him I do not want any more programs, he also asked me whether nor not my computer was working alright.  I thought that was odd.  This call I know was from overseas and I am sure that the caller was of Indian descent.

  suppose to be a windows tech wanting to help clear and speed up my computer.I followed propts to the point where i was asked to log them in to my computerat this point i asked for some for of ID so i could check who i was about to loginand the number i was given was (02) 8014 7449 similar to other numbers in other complaints on this website

  no i dont feel so about system recure... they are like angels... they are doing good work and may god bless them for doing that.... i had many problems on my pc about which they took special actions and now my pc is running fine..... please dont post obscene comments about anyone like this....

  I let them control my computer but said I couldn't afford the money when they mentioned prices. Does anybody know if they download anything to your computer that is dangerous? Can they keep accessing my computer now?
