I have same call he asked me to go to the post office and get western union form and then phone him he will help me to fill up the form other wise post office will charge me $200-300 He said he is from Government department Michel Snider please be aware of this scam

I've just been called by someone claiming to be working on behalf of the Australian Government informing me I have been selected to be one of many people eligible to claim a cash refund of several thousand dollars, due to having paid excess charges when paying my bills over that last 12months.
I was given the phone number above to call and get instructions from a Mr Michael Slater (person with a very Indian accent answers to that name) to tell me I needed to come up with $300.00 cash that I need to pay to the Post Office first hand before I can claim these funds I am owed. But of cause the $300.00 dollars will be refunded to me on top of the other reclaimed money the post office is supposed to hand over to me!! This sounds totally suspicious!

Second time I've had this same scam in a couple of months. Aus gov reclaim/rebate department. Was told to call this number to get my money. Obvious scam

A 'sub continental' called me telling the would be a cheques for 'thousands' at the local post office being a refund of over-charging on financial transactions overseen by the Aust Govt reclaims department. I could register my claim by ringing this number and talking to as Shaun Williams. But I need to give them bank details. Obviouly a scam!!

These bastards call from an "overseas" phone number. When you answer they hang up. Bloody annoying scammers.
