Caller: ATO phone no (02) 8006 4226 SCAM

had a call on my mobile from number 02 8006 4226 a male voice recorded message advising that my family has not contacted the ATO relation to Fraud for me and my family and to call this number to discuss. I suspected it was a scam, so I put my mobile on blocked to call back, go into settings privacy or phone and change caller ID. I called back and the number rang.. I called again and the number was engaged and then hung up as now they can't see my number so they don't answer. A professional company like the ATO would answer the call at least. BEWARE and block them and they are calling from a lot of different numbers like this. Do not give out your personal details. If in doubt ask them for their name & number to call back. they never give it.

I had same as above comment - voicemail with robot American voice saying a lawsuit had been filed against me..

It's a scam. Automated message saying Australian Tax office is going to sue unless you call that number back. It would scare anyone who thought it was genuine.

I had the same incident but they answered, i have filed a police report against them
