Same thing here on NSW Central Coast. Computer generated British accent from the ATO

Left recorded message that they received a complaint from the ATO. Claimed they had a warrant for our arrest and to call back number.

This number phoned us today. We answered out of curiosity. Said they were from the Tax Office. Threatened us with Federal Police, blah blah blah, so we asked which tax office, no reply, asked where they were situated, they hung up. We kept ringing, asking to speak to manager, they hung up. We rang and said they were being monitored by the Federal Police. They hung up. We kept ringing to annoy them. They blocked our number. We have reported this.

Just got the same call as everyone too... ATO asking the Police to arrest me HUHHHHHH. Scam

Saying that I have defrauded ATO but if I paid said amount they will not go to court...sounded very convincing and threatening. Has anybody reported this to ATO/Police?

I also got that call from (02) 8005 8688, I am going to be arrested by fed. police !

Why don't the relevant authorities shut down this number and the clowns using it?

Automated message that said to ring back before an arrest warrant is issued in regards to a complaint to the tax office. Broken English. Would suggest it is a scam.
Have been getting 3-4 scam calls a day lately. Am careful not to give out my number. Can anyone stop this rubbish???
