This number was given as a contact number for enquiries re. a message I received from Norton telling me I was to be charged for 2 years' PC Protection. I rang the number to query the transaction as I do not subscribe to Norton . The phone went unanswered. I will check with my bank but I think this number is clearly part of a scam. Suggest: please double-check your account but have nothing to do with this number.

got a call from an Indian sounding person saying their name was Sam Adams, from the Justice Department Sydney.( could not work out if it was a man or woman) They said I have paid too many bank fees and was entitled to a re-credit.($5840 i think was the amount) but when questioned he would not tell me any details but said i needed to give him my bank details, i said "you must have them already given that you are going to repay me the the fees on these accounts" "yes i have them" he/she said "but i need you to tell me so i can verify and send the money to the right account" i told them i was not willing to give them my details so then they said we can send a cheque. i said "do that then"! But they wanted me to verify my address and date of birth.they even gave me a phone number 02 800 57422 to call back if i wanted. i just hung up.

Received the same call from a guy with the same name, Sam Adams (given that he sounded Indian, this Anglo-sounding name did not seem to fit). I was given a number to call back on, however, on looking at Dept of Justice listings this number does not appear anywhere. Be careful everyone out there!
