from Telstra, sounded like an overseas phone call. I'm going to loose my internet. funny it still here. got quite irate with me.

Second time - hang up, no message. I've had an increase in phone calls from the (02) 8XXX XXXX area.

"Claimed" to be from Telstra. "Was I aware Internet would be cut off for 10 days?" Asked for details before calling Telstra myself. He volunteered a name and an employee ID number.
Telstra had no record of any internet issues.
Cannot figure what the scam was trying to achieve...

rings up and says that its telstra phoning and my internet will be turned off tomorrow for 3 months. I hung up. Funny that Telstra would be phoning me. I'm not with Telstra

claimed to be from telstra "other people are using your internet, they are going to close it down but could help me avoid that:. My reply I have no internet. THEY HUNG UP. they will keep ringing until you answer.

Told us we had been looking up illegal things on the internet, wanted to know what and why, said they were from Telstra and we're shutting the account down. Very pushy. Very dodgy.

just got a phone call from this number claiming to be Telstra technician from It department telling me someone is trying to maliciously hack into my ip address. she couldn't tell me my name or details, just my phone number and was asking me to login to my computer, I told her I would call Telstra directly and she hung up...sounds like a scam to me.

I call back and it goes straight to failed call so i have blocked
