Received a phone call 11.17am from a woman who would not identify herself by name only that she was from a motor vehicle claims company and that she was ringing in relation to my recent motor vehicle accident - firstly I laughed, and advised her that I had never had an accident, secondly I advised her that I had heard about this scam already going around and thirdly - she hung up :-) ... I have rung back this number from an alternate phone and the line is consistently a disconnected tone. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY DETAILS EVEN IF YOU HAVE HAD AN ACCIDENT.

Person said I was in a car crash. This is not true. Definitely spam. I asked if he could tell me the type of car and he hung up.

This number has called me on more than one occasion. Today I answered the call and they asked if Terry was there, my response was no you have the wrong number. They continued asking who they were speaking with and wouldn't accept being told they had contacted the wrong number. I asked for them to identify who they were. They stated they were calling on behalf of an Accident Company and proceeded to ask if I had been involved in an accident. I didn't hear the name of the company properly as the person on the other end of the phone was extremely hard to understand and there was a large amount of background noise.
Had I been in an accident of some kind the last thing I would be doing is speaking with some strange person over the phone, who had the wrong name and couldn't even be sure if I had been in an accident or not.
I have had previous calls such as these on both my home and mobile number and find them completely annoying.

Claimed to be a type of claim centre: said "I've heard that you or one of your family members has been in a car accident this year, is this true?". I've heard from friends about this type of scam call before, so hung up immediately.
