Caller: Solar Solutions Try to talk about solar panels and deals. Won’t take no for an answer and continue to call you after you demand to have your number removed from their list. Scam, scam, scam. Block, Delete, Report. They will argue with you as well.

Caller: “Jack” and someone else who called me “so dumb” Same here. “Jack” called using number (02) 7229 1093. Had my name and previous address and said he’d been speaking to my neighbours recently! When I told him I didn’t own that property he wanted to know about other properties I owned. I don’t think it’s a scam but just very rude and unscrupulous sales people (though still may be a scam too). I pressed them for their details and found they don’t want to give details about themselves because once they do people choose to either talk to them or say goodbye, and it is usually the later. They call it “being tricky”. They want to hook you by talking about your personal circumstances and the current energy climate ie rising prices and then they tell you who they are (they are solar energy installations). I spoke to a supervisor who filled me in on all this. He also called me “so dumb” when I suggested that when they call people they should share who they are and why they are calling you upfront. Personally I don’t like their “sales technique” and if I want solar installations I go to people who are upfront about who they are and what they do. “Being tricky” is an approach close to being dishonest with the customer and I feel most likely this is how they’ll approach working with you. So feel free to talk to, hang up on, block these guys as you think is right.

Caller: Alex Alex barely introduced himself, only asking if I was an owner of a property. He did not respond to who he worked for and hung up.
