Called probably 8 times in 2 days. Each person was of Indian accent. Said they were Telstra IT Department. I told them to stop calling but 15 minutes later a different person would call. After a while, I asked them to provide me with my Telstra Account number, first person hung up on me. Second person fumbled for a few moments then said '2..0..0..0 ...
What a joke. So annoying!!

Caller: Went by the name of Peter Cambell

Same as all comments above but he said he was ringing from Melbourne, gave me his name, Telstra ID number, my supposed case number, plus other bogus info including an email & website.
I phoned the real Telstra and am now on the No Call Services blocking Sth East Asia & South Africa.
All the info he gave me was non existent.

Claimed to be from Telstra Technical Services. They have been quiet for a few weeks but it looks like they are back called 3 times this week and hundreds of times over the past 3 or 4 years. Have spoken to Telstra but it appears that if they stop this number they just get another one. Telstra say they can't stop them as it is very hard to find out what part of the world they are ringing from.

Rings and hangs up if you attempt to answer. Call back gets you a system message "the number you is either incomplete, incorrect, or has been disconnected. Please hang up check the number and try again. Just block it or blacklist it.

Caller: not sure but presume a scammer

I now do not pick up phone if I don't recognise the number, if its important they'll leave a message, none of the 02 area codes have left a message! What does that tell you!!

Indian or Pakistani accent. Sounded drunk or on drugs, also sounded bored. Claimed to be from Telstra. Tried to tell me my phone and computer had been hacked. When I told him he was a scammer he tried to argue. I hung up. Sounded like a call centre in the background. Probably a recording of "noise". Reported it to ScamWatch.

just called but I ignored. What is a shame is my daughter works for Telstra calling customers and she is abused because they think she is a scammer, even when she can give the customer their account details and her Telstra ID so they can call Telstra back. This is what these scammers have done to legit workers

Claimed I had hackers using my internet connection.
When i challenged him for details and telling him I would go to my local telstra shop in the morning and get them to fix the issue, he got aggressive in his tone. I asked for his name and number and he gave me David Williams (03) 9836 5436
I then requested to speak to his manager at which point I heard another person in the background say "What are you doing??? Quickly hang up!! "

Women with Indian accent pretending to be from Telstra technical department. Started babbling about internet connection, I hung up.
The real Telstra had called me last week, and they actually prove themselves by providing details from your last bill.

I asked for his number and i would call him back as there were to many scam calls these days. He hung up.

multiple calls a day, even after telling them I was on the do not call register. Number is now blocked.

Received a call telling me they are from Telstra and will cut off my internet tomorrow as my computer is being used by others across the net. Too bad I am not with Telstra. Asked for her phone number she hung up immediately. Scammers. I am also on the do not call register.

Heavily accented female voice ‘ calling from Telstra. How are you this evening?’ Said I was not interested in the call. This was 7 15 on Saturday night!

These scammers are not calling from legitimate companies and are probably actually calling from overseas. The Do Not Call Register can therefore do nothing about them. Blocking the number on your phone will at least stop calls from this number disturbing you.
