Indian voice claiming to be "John Watson" claiming that an audit had been done on my tax accounts from 2012 and that I owed money. Well I told him I did owe money, I was aware and have a payment plan in place. I accused him of being a scammer and told him that since I had regular dealings with the ATO, I would call them directly to discuss this supposed problem.

Claim to be from Australian Taxation Department. You have to call them immediately, or a warrant for your arrest will be issued! All said, with sincerity, in an American accent. Scammers. They even throw in a "Good Luck" at the end of their message. You'd only need good luck if you ring these morons. They are preying on people, especially the vulnerable, I wish the government would shut them down for good.

This number left a message saying that they are the ATO & if I didn't call back I could face legal consequences.

This nbr is used for a phone scam claiming to call from the ATO because I have committed serious tax fraud.
