Just reported them to SPAM Watch too. He called me 'Honey' in his first sentence to me and I said that if he really worked at the Australian Taxation Department that they would NOT call me Honey. He then hung up on me. What a rude prick....lol

ATO Fraud....

I have had 5 calls in the past 5 weeks, 2 as No Caller ID, the others with an 02 number which when I called out of curiosity rang out or was busy. I blocked that number. The one today was telling me in a lovely recorded voice that Federal Police would be attending my office and home to arrest me - msg left on my voice mail to call back urgently. Luckily I am not stupid / naïve enough to take them seriously but some people could be easily taken in. I called the ATO and they have had a lot of calls reporting these calls and getting as much info as you can give to try and track these people down.

I didnt answer but got a voicemail saying "call us back urgently or else the cops will be at your house or workplace to arrest us, we are the australian tax blah blah". Thing that cracks me up is that it was a voice automated message and in the background was an indian accent telling someone off! Fml anything to scam people... Nothing in writting so this b.s aint legit

ATO Scam. Claimed they were the Department of Public Prosecutions calling because I owe the tax department 900.00. Ha!
I don't like when they hang up on me when I start to ask them if their mothers know what they do for a living and do they approve? I then lecture them about getting a good honest job and they hang up! how rude!

Didn't Answer left a message on voice to text, "This is a final warning from Commenwealth Director of Public Prosecutions on behalf of Australian Taxation Office" message ends there but I am guessing it is an automated message.

If this number is known to be a scam, why is it still operating. I received 5 calls from them yesterday on my landline and my mobile. I did not talk to them, just heard enough about this being my final warning for money owed, by me, to the tax department. If they are so clever in operating this scam, why aren't we better at stopping them. I am sick and tired of having to answer these calls, usually during a meal time or preparation. Why are we working for our money whilst these clowns are trying to steal it from us. Can it be traced????

I got a call from this number saying that it was the tax office wanting my name and bank details which I refused after checking into the number I've reported it

They keep calling me and left a message saying, a police officer and tax staff will come into my office or home. This is a final warning.
Big SCAM ! Do not reply or give out any of your personal details especially your name.

Called this number back and they said in an Indian voice Thankyou for calling the Australian Taxation Office, to which I hung up.
