Caller: recorded message,claiming to be telstra (aussie female accent) re: internet connection.

Recorded message supposedly from Telstra claiming internet compromised by illegal ip addresses. Suspect just another phishing attempt.

I received the same call today claiming to be from Telstra warning that people are hacking into my net and computer. I played with them a few minutes, pretended the call disconnected just so they could call back again. I laughed and hung on the operator advising I am not a telstra customer - It is a total scam.
Something that amused me was that he claimed to be calling from melbourne. How is that possible with an 02 number

Just had call on land line from an 02 number. Recorded message that Telstra has internet issues & then goes on & on that we will loose internet in one hour unless u press the following.
Yeah right. scammer
