Caller: Claiming to be the ATO

Very suspicious call saying I was under warrant and needed to talk to the ATO now. Called back and got answered straight away, which is unusual for the ATO, by a gentleman with a strong indian accent in a noisy location. He asked for my name and TFN, when I said 'how do I know I am talking to the ATO?' the line cut off. BEWARE!

Threatening voice message left

Caller: SCAMMER FRAUDULENT

Number called me but I ended up dismissing the call. Voicemail was obviously fraudulent, said I would need to give my tax file number or I will get arrested. Don’t answer or call back this number!
