Caller: tax fraud scam

pre recorded message, re tax and arrest- total scam.

Pre-recorded message from the ATO. Clearly a scam from someone with a strong American accent and the incorrect use of Australian legal terminology. The number when re-dialed is now not in service.

Tax fraud scam

a ATO scam caller very threatening saying i had to pay thousands of dollars or i would go to jail. very scary phone call. When i asked if they had my private details like TFN they disconnected.

A voicemail message was left on my phone. It was a prerecorded message saying that I was facing tax fraud. I'll have to go to court if I didn't contact them and the police will come and arrest me. I called the Australian Taxation Office and they told me it was a scam. I'm not to give them any details about me especially bank account details.

I rang once and got disconnected
