Automated voice message supposedly from 'ATO' saying there was a warrant out for my arrest and that I needed to call them back urgently - this is a scam!

Recorded message claiming I have avoided paying tax and that I needed to provide more information regarding my pending arrest and to call this number. After checking the number it is seems to be an obvious scam!!

The voice mail has the similar message. saying a warrant will be issued. call back.

Same scammers. Said to call the number as I had incorrectly lodged my tax returns and was going to be arrested. The voice sounds computer generated.

seriously what this people up to..i receive same call saying i receive 7000 bonus ...need to deposit 250 in third world country,....just checked with canberra office its a SCAM

Claiming to be from the Australian Taxation Office (very bad english). Saying that I'm entitled to $7,000.00. SCAM!

SCAM, SCAM SCAM!... They did call me, and I tried to call from another phone, but no answer. Are all the affected Telstra phones? Where do they get the names, and so much information?

Got a call says his name is Brian Smith, from ATO Canberra, that I am eligible for $7000 credit from federal government. Give me a reference no and ask me to call (02) 6100 3045. Scam!

Received a call today quoting this phone number (02) 6100 3045).
Same story as above, calling from ATO Canberra to let me know that I am receiving a $7000 grant for paying my taxes on time & no bankruptcy etc etc. Was told to call the phone number & quote my reference number (A235) & his manager would arrange for the next steps.

Has anyone rung this number to see what they saY?

My father received the call saying he owed $7000 to the ATO. SCAM

My mum just received same phone call for $7000 because she is a pensioner (and called me instead). Preying on the elderly is disgracefull.

On 31/1/14,Same as above and then 5 minutes later he called on the other phone number in my back room office. Sounded Indian but claimed his name was Michael Adams from the ATO. These liars from o/s have killed off legitimate Aussie businesses who sell by phone.

Called 10 minutes ago. Same thing I have won $7000 call this number and quote.

From a "private" number. Indian sounding girls, I was eligable for $7000 from the ATO. Call this number & quote ref number to claim you money

Indian sounding man said I had got $7000 from ATO and to phone number and quote ref number. Its a SCAM !!

Same as others, You have been selected for an appreciation grant of $7000 for ...(not having a criminal record and no debt, etc)...
