I got the same message, but didn't call them back as I was dubious. The voice was computer manipulated too, and a recording. Got the call on October 15th, 2015

ATO fake agent scam called from this number and was able to call them back to confirm they were a scam. 15/10/2015

ATO scam, Indian accent.

This scam is an automated recording saying to call back about the an ATO Tax investigation. Obviously a scam but I called back to see if I would get a real person and to tell them what I thought. A bloke answered and asked for my details and I asked how they could sleep at night ripping off innocent people. He said he didn't know what I was talking about - but when I persisted and asked how he could sit on a phone line trying to extort money from people he turned abusive calling me a 'camel f***er' and a 'donkey f***er'! Never been called either of those things before! Very sad that there are so many scumbags out there willing to earn a living by harming others.

Scammer with American accent claiming to be a special agent from ATO threatening legal action if I did not immediately return their call

Recieved a call from this numeber, with an electronic male voice, telling me to drop everything and to call this number. The voice said that it was officer John Smith working with the ATO "something" department. Its a complete scam.

Claim to be the ATO just another Scam!!! Idiots should try doing homework before before calling. When said good luck trying to cliam anything they hung up real quick!!!!

This number left message on my phone claiming to be ATO with threatening message .
